Dami Im began learning the piano, violin and flute at the age of five
At the age of eleven, Dami began studying classical piano at the Young Conservatorium of Music program at Griffith University in Queensland
Dami won the Nora Baird Scholarship and then the Queensland State Piano Competition several times during her teenage high school years
Dami taught herself to sing as a teenager by recording herself copying her favourite artists
Dami won the University of Queensland – School of Music piano prize, Dean’s Commendation List for High Achievement
Dami graduated with First Class Honours in a Bachelor of Music Degree (Majoring in Piano)
Dami was a winner in the 4MBS Musica Viva Sid Page Memorial Prize in Chamber Music as part of chamber group ‘Ebony Trio’
Dami placed in the Lev Vlassenko Competition – An Internationally recognized, prestigious competition held biannually in Brisbane
Dami completed a Masters of Arts degree in Modern Contemporary Voice (majoring in Jazz) at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music – Griffith University
Worked as a Piano and Vocals Teacher prior and was singing for her local Church in Brisbane and in South Korea, singing Jazz and Classical music for various charitable groups
Dami competed in and won the fifth series of the X Factor Australia in 2013
Signed a record label contract with the Sony Music Australia and released her Platinum Awarded single “Alive” and self-titled album
