- Dami Im began learning the piano, violin and flute at the age of five
- At the age of eleven, Dami began studying classical piano at the Young Conservatorium of Music program at Griffith University in Queensland
- Dami won the Nora Baird Scholarship and then the Queensland State Piano Competition several times during her teenage high school years
- Dami taught herself to sing as a teenager by recording herself copying her favourite artists
- Dami won the University of Queensland – School of Music piano prize, Dean’s Commendation List for High Achievement
- Dami graduated with First Class Honours in a Bachelor of Music Degree (Majoring in Piano)
- Dami was a winner in the 4MBS Musica Viva Sid Page Memorial Prize in Chamber Music as part of chamber group ‘Ebony Trio’
- Dami placed in the Lev Vlassenko Competition – An Internationally recognized, prestigious competition held biannually in Brisbane
- Dami completed a Masters of Arts degree in Modern Contemporary Voice (majoring in Jazz) at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music – Griffith University
- Worked as a Piano and Vocals Teacher prior and was singing for her local Church in Brisbane and in South Korea, singing Jazz and Classical music for various charitable groups
- Dami competed in and won the fifth series of the X Factor Australia in 2013
- Signed a record label contract with the Sony Music Australia and released her Platinum Awarded single “Alive” and self-titled album

- The Griffith University 2016 Arts, Education and Law ‘Young Alumnus of the Year’ Award
- Undertook her first national tour of Australia with almost fifty concerts in all states – The “Yesterday Once More Tour” with most venues sold out
- ARIA Chart Platinum Certification for her “Sound of Silence” Single
- ARIA Chart Gold Certification for her “Classic Carpenters” Album
- Most Popular Female Artist, Queensland Music Awards 2017
- Won the 2017 National ACE (Australian Club Entertainment) Awards – “Dami Im took the award for ‘Female Vocal’ along with the ‘Club Performer of the Year’ Award, due to her ‘Yesterday Once More’ tour in which she performed at over 24 Clubs in 2016, with a majority of her shows reaching sell out status”
- Dami releases her fourth studio album “I Hear A Song” in her fifth year as a Sony Music recording artist, on 23 March 2018
- Won the Australian Women in Music ‘Humanitarian Award’ for her project to setup music schools for disadvantaged children in a poor region of the Philippines in 2019
