DAMI IM WILL BE TEAMING UP WITH PAUL MURRAY ON MARCH 27 TO DELIVER “A NIGHT TOWNSVILLE WON’T FORGET”
Paul Murray and Dami Im will be in Townsville on Wednesday, March 27 for a special episode of the ‘Paul Murray Live’ show.
The special episode of ‘Paul Murray Live’ will broadcast live from Townsville on Wednesday, March 27 from 9pm AEDT through Sky News Live on Foxtel and Sky News on WIN regional east coast TV stations.
“The flood-hit city is the next stop on the Sky News anchor’s ‘Our Town’ regional tour. From the housing crisis and the ongoing recovery efforts, the effects of the recent flooding are continuing to be felt across the Townsville region. Through the support of the ‘Our Town’ partners we hope this special Paul Murray Live episode will raise awareness nationally of the issues and provide assistance where it is most required.”
Murray will be joined by Queensland’s own Dami Im who will perform live for the audience and viewers at home.
“Sure, we are going to tell the stories of the recovery, but we want to have some fun too. The people of Townsville deserve a night to remember and they’ll get it including some great music from Dami Im and some other surprises along the way.”
Singer Dami Im said that she jumped at the chance to go bush:
“Regional Australia has always been very close to my heart, and I’ve been lucky enough to tour through some wonderful towns over the years,” Im said. “Paul Murray Live Our Town is such a great initiative, I’m honoured to be a part of it and I’m really looking forward to performing soon and meeting everyone at a very special event somewhere great in regional Australia very soon.”
Mr Murray said the X Factor winner and Eurovision star wasn’t the only famous face that will turn up on the night. “I can’t say much but one of the surprises is going to be very, very memorable,” he said.
